Going in the evening and sleeping over night and fishing all day the next day. Hopefully I will post pictures and get the fish worth $25,000 :).
Good luck
Where ya headed? Shore fishing? Boat fishing? I’ll be up there most of the day on Thursday. My Bro-in-law caught a yellow tag a few weeks ago. Won a camp chef stove and was entered in a drawing for 25K. I want a red tag. Not as many in there, but I hear they’re worth 2k guaranteed. Good luck!
I’m heading up in the morning with my two boys and we will be there through Thursday, good luck!
I’m not sure. We’re gonna be camping there but will drive to go somewhere bank fishing. I’ll most likely go on my pontoon fishing boat as long as its not really windy :). I’ve seen this one spot I’ve always wanted to fish that looks really good to me…I can’t even remember exactly where it is but it’ll be fun. Maybe I’ll see some of u guys up there :). My brothers gonna be there to.
So the Berry trip gets a C- in my books. I caught 5 from the evening and morning today. My brother caught 3. All Rainbows, Biggest was like 15 or 16 inches and not even fat -.-. Bank fishing strawberry can be one of the lamest things ever :(. Sad thing Is my spot I was fishing actually was like 15 feet deep taking like 1 step out. It still hardly produced and they weren’t big like I’m used to. 4 of my 5 fish were caught last night when it was to dark for my brothers camera to show up. I didn’t ge a picture of my one this morning cause he was fishing to the side of me to far away where the fish would have died by the time he got there and took it.
Anyone know somewhere doing better bank fishing or float tube fishing for trout?
I’m giving it at least a B. I didn’t get on the water until about 7:30 this morning. I was on the Soldier Creek side on my toon. I caught 11 total. 10 were rainbows and one little Cutty. All in all I thought it was a pretty good day. I’ve definitely had some faster action at the 'berry, but I can’t complain.
Fished near Renegade on my pontoon a week ago.i fished in 25-50’ water, probably down about 20’ with my fast sink line, and bead heads. caught probably 6 rainbows and 2 cutts. lost a couple cutts before i got them to the surface. the bows still seem to be hanging out a little shallower, but if you really want to get to the majority of the fish(especially cutts) you’ll have to get down 40’ under the surface in 100’+ of water.
if you wanna go after a tagged rainbow in the relatively shallow water, this is probably a good time for that. the cutts arent around as much.
now, the long wait til fall…
