Hey I’m looking to make another trip or two on the ice. I went to the Berry on 4/10 and the ice was solid. It was cold enough for no slush but you still had to walk through the snow drifts. All the guys I talked to had landed a few cutts. I landed 9 between 19 and 20 inches. They all looked like the exact same fish. Looking to target rainbows, browns or tiger trout. Anybody know of any spots in Northern Utah that are still frozen? How’s Scofield? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Although Strawberry doesn’t have the brown and tiger trout, the Soldier Creek portion of Strawberry has plenty of rainbows to keep you busy. Fish shallow (10-13’). Good luck!
Hey thanks for the info. I think I may try strawberry one more time and I’ll definitely try that side.
No mattter where you go, fish shallow. My last three trips, fish lake, schofield, the berry, the best action and bigger fish were in 10 ft. or less. 9 ft at s.f., 8 to 10 ft. in 70, ft of water at f.l.. the berry, 9 ft, one inch of minnow on a white 2 1/2" "tube at all three places.
