I was looking at doing some ice fishing for the first time this winter. what is a good “basics” list? I realize I’ll need an auger, but what are other good starter items? Thanks in advance!
Fishing rods, ice flies jigs and things like that. Oh yeah, warm clothes.
Don’t forget the ice scoop.
This is a good starter site, and has species specific info

Grippers for your warm boots.
Ice-picks in case you take a swim
Somewhere to set yer butt - bucket or chair
Sled/Tent - not required - but if you get into it, well worth it
Spring Bobbers
And don’t forget the Mr Jiggers and Jawjackers!
oh, and waxworms. Don’t leave home w/o 'em!
Thanks fellas, I appreciate the help!
