Was there on Sunday from 10:30 to 3:30. 12" of solid ice, and no issues at the edges getting on or off. Ice seemed pretty scary by the looks and sounds, but once we punched a hole and measured the thickness, removed all doubt.
Make sure you have a fish finder. Spot the fish on it, and put the jig in the middle of the school. They could be suspended at almost any depth. I have had terrible luck this year.
