If you or anyone you know lost a tackle box at pineview send my a PM with a description..and the location that you lost it.
So stoked! I dug through the box and and found a fishing license.. The phone number on the license was disconnected so I went to the address. no one was home so I left a note. The guy was soooo thankful. He is a single dad that had been putter his collection together for15 years. The box had several $100 of rapalas and muskie lures. Some of them hand made. Im not writing this for praises… Just saying that it felt really good to find the owner and I hope that someone would do the same for me.
P.S. I also made a new fishing buddy in the process.
Good on ya for making the effort to find the owner. You went an extra mile. Glad that the guy was grateful and that you found a new fishing buddy. It is great to hear about guys like you when there are so many out there that would have said “Wow” Bonus" Look all my new fishing lures.
Outstanding!
Hats off to you
Way to be!!
Good karma buddy, I would hope somebody would do the same for me. In fact, I’m going to put my info. inside my bags just in case something happened like that to me.
Great work buddy! In the past I have found gear but never one with a name/address/phone number. Thinkin I should follow suit and put that kind of info in my gear box too. I once found a fly on a beach and saw that a fly flinger was ahead of me on the strech of shore. That night as he came walking back I asked if it was his…which it was and he was very thankful since it was a $7 fly. I am sure the look on that dudes face was priceless considering the gear was worth more than $7!
Good work! Fishing tackle can be sentimental for a lot of people. I know Ive got a few lures from my Dad and some from my Grandpa in mine. I don’t fish with them because I want to keep them forever. Nice to have them in there however. I would be pretty wrecked if I were to lose my tackle box.
Labeling your stuff is a great idea for sure. I honestly feel like most people would return it if had a name and number.
Nice to see some Honesty these days and congrats on the extra effort you put in to find the owner.
That’s great man, your a good dude! I can only imagine how he felt before he got it back.
good job jay
its good to see a real fisrman with the drive to get the box back to the owner so he could enjoy the sport the we all do
thanks for asking up to pine view it was a great day i hope your dad had a good time
Thanks Todd,
PV was a lot of fun. Thanks for letting us use one of your toons. We’ll do it again soon.
It’s folks like you that redeem faith in humanity. This weekend I left a pair of poles behind on a trail head while loading the four wheeler and didn’t notice they were missing for several hours. Went back to the launch and found both propped up on a rock. Anyone could have taken them during the several hours, but there they were. I’m thanking you because you represent all those folks who left them for me to find later.
