Sorry about this late report but my buddy and I went ice fishing a few days ago and caught tons of bow and brookies through the ICE!!!. It was a harsh trip to get to where we wen’t as well with the terrible -9 wind chill but it was worth feeling that cold chill and go catching. As well it was sorda sketchy with the ice in some area but it was epic just watching the fish take the worm when it just hit the ice. I just hate how it was a few inches of slushy ice then the good stuff. It wasn’t so comfortable what so ever but I had fun. [:P]
We end up catching 30+ each in a few hrs.
Sorry no pics didn’t bother to take my ipod or camera out on the ice.
Hope more lakes will get hard deck soon or sadly the float tube of death will be out in the water in December.
Ya man. Some people have guts to get outside in that cold chill with out an ice tent but Im just lucky that im getting my first ice tent tomorrow and a heater as well so it wont be bad days ice fishing cold weather anymore. I’m hoping to be catching more fish over the weekend to see how the ice tent settles up. Lets hope the ice is a little more safe so i can take some pictures of the spawning bows and amazing looking brookies and if lucky maybe a cutty.
The brookies are just nice and dark now. I just love it. Oh the best part of the day was when my ice scoop slipped and fell deep down into the unknown ice world.
Not really even bragging as there are no pics. Kind of like my day today[:p]
I had an epic day today, caught like 40 fish, some over 30" on my kids Barbie pole. Sorry no pics, didn’t want to risk dropping the camera, anyways hope you guys are have a great catching season like me, this catching is soooo easy, everyone should do it.
That “float tube of death” is wearing a hand-me-down sonar and some PVC bling from the tubeatorium. You might say I am “invested” in his future float tubing success.
All in good fun…unless we all go over the “Fishy Cliff” by the end of the year…or our Mayan friends really do pull the plug on all of us.
Hey folks. We all have our own “styles” of posting reports. Not all of us are epic word merchants. For some BFTers it is a big step to just put something on the board. And for SOME of us we could probably do the other members a service by not being so %^#$& wordy.
It should always remain the at the discretion of the poster as to how much drivel to drop on the board. If ya wanna be suitably vague, so be it. But there are some posts that are semi annoying in their combined boastfulness and pointed lack of real useable information.
I personally feel that as fellow anglers we should all operate under a fellowship agreement…that allows us to make any and all outlandish claims without challenge from others…as long as we respond (or don’t respond) in kind. Lie unto others as you would have them lie unto you.
When ever I look at your picture, you look like the person who catches 5 fish and be done with fishing for the rest of the day so I highly doubt you caught 40. As well 30" . Pretty sure they really 1" minnows you were catching.
