How was your fishing this weekend?

I have been stuck painting the home all weekend and could not make it out.[frown] Who had some great fishing trips ! I am curious to know if the fishing has picked up.

:sunglasses:I feel fer ya. I got to play “Grubby Gardener” all weekend. Got 'er done though.

Headin’ for Willard this morning. Yeee Hawww.

Fishing? What’s that? I did a whole lot of “casting practice” at Mantua and Hyrum on Saturday with nothing to report other than the fact that a buddy and I ran into “Pepe Lepuew” who in turn lifted his tail and mased us with the skunk odor!!![pirate] I’ll get that dirty f*%$#!@ skunk one of these days!!![:p]
TS

Stuck at work but managed to hit the J-river and scored on some white bass hit willow for a bit two got a nice brook and enjoy the rest of the day at the in laws [crazy]

Well I had a good day on the water, does that count. Any way took my little new to me boat that has not been in the water since 85, for its shake down cruise. I am happy to report that she is sea worthy. Now the fishing we were at Pineview and I misses one small Tiger, I was trying to figure out the whole boat driving thing while trolling a Firetiger x rap and miss the hook set. Oh well it was a nice day on the lake. I saw water temps form 43 up to 53 degrees, graphed several fish but no other takers. HOw did the rest of you all do.

Cant complain, headed to provo boat harbor fri. night and got a couple of small cats. Then took the kids up to Tibble fork and got two small Bows that looked like they were just planted… [;)]

All I caught was a big ol’ skunk.

Fishing? What’s that? I did a whole lot of “casting practice” at Mantua . . . Saturday TS

Same thing Sunday. At least I got to try out a couple of new outfits. Water was 47-48 degrees. I think I’ll pass next week and take my Tracker in for some warranty work and wait and go again Mother’s Day, since my wife will have me planting the day before.

We caught 9 fish but nothing over 13" at the nelle. Sounds like bassrods dropshot was the only thing picking up bigger fish. It was nice to be out but very cold sunday morning. Trying to see if I get to go out next weekend or spend my time in the yard…

You sound like me, Cesar! I need to get out fishing. When do you think the walleye fishing at Yuba is going to pick up!

Made it to nelle to see if the boat still worked. It did and three of us lost track of all the small 9-14 inch bows we caught drag’n rapalas. Couldn’t buy a nice sized fish to save or lives though.

Hey your doing better than I am sitting here waiting for my head to grow back onto my neck. What I want to see is your take at Powell. The only thing that would be better is if I could have another whack at them. I think this is the year of the mixed bag. More Crappies, bass catfish and walleye getting in front of the stripers. Oh and remember to put some sunscreen on it your going to fish without shirt on :sunglasses: RF

Hit Jordanelle Sunday in the Rock Cliff area. Caught some trout bait fishing in 10 feet of water. The trout are nice and healthy, with no scarring like some of the trout in Rockport, Echo, and East Canyon.

Mainly wanted to give the boat a check out run before heading to Powell. Great weather made it a nice day on the water.

Good Luck

Hit the jordan river and the fishing was fast. mostly muds and carp with a few white bass. I haven’t cought a channel yet this year[crazy]!

I went to AF to see if the boat still ran Sunday…it didn’t. I used the bowmount to throw some plastics and a spinnerbait and hooked a carp in the belly, not quite skunk but it still smells bad.

I am still waiting for some stable weather for some serious walleye fishing. May will be the month though trust me on this!! [;)]

Hit the Berry on Sunday morning to find there’s still 25" of ice. The bite started late (10:30am), but was solid until about noon. I iced 3 nice cutts, and missed a bunch more. For some reason I was having a heck of a time setting the hook.[pirate]

was poor i only caught 6 fish smallest 14 pounds biggest 36. but things will pick up soon.[;)]

Friday the 25th, went to Joe’s Valley, after getting launched my 15 horse motor must of had something clogged in one of the jets and it quit on me for the 1st time ever, after getting it cleared out, I started trolling a 5" berkley saltwater swim shad with a little pc of anchovey for some extra scent, trolled about 10 minutes and wham, I caught my 1st bis splake, 8lbs 11oz, 30 inch long beauty!
I will try to upload the picture!

Went to Pineview and caught a 18.5" LMB on the north end. Just purchased a new pontoon and wanted to try it out.
