You’re taking downriggers to Henry’s? The lake is only 28’ at the deepest hole, when the lake is full. If you’re going to troll, use leaded line. Using a d/r would be more approiate at Hebgen.
I agree with Mojo. There will probably be too much vegitation still. Hebgen would be awesome. We went to Henry’s a couple of years ago the last week of August to the first of Sept. I did well right off the Cliffs but I fly fish. I also used a Type II and an Intermediate line;

Then went Labor Day weekend Last Year. Fishing was very slow because of the heat, but I managed the BIGGEST FISH of my life. Could have been one of the Biggest to come out of Henry’s in a long time.

This is not to say I haven’t caught some nice fish out of Hebgen, just don’t have pictures.
I’ve used downriggers at Henry’s and have done fairly well with them on a couple occassions. I wouldn’t even bring a downrigger there at this time of there year. There are way too many weeds. It would be possible to troll in a few places but weeds will make it difficult to run your line more than 10 minutes without having to real it in to clean the weeds off of it. You might also want to consicer Island Park Reservoir. You could put your downriggers and depth finder to use there. Try trolling some of the deeper water by the dam and Bills Island. Good luck.
It could be better, specially this year getting hot so quickly and staying there. October could be the ticket, but I am no expert on that by any means.
End of september and begin october it should pick up. I started going about 3 years ago and thats the time it seems more people start getting into them and its nice to dress for the cold and not cook from the heat
