Great Day At Jordanelle!!

My wife and I headed up to Jordanelle on the 4th on our pontoon boats and had an awesome day there. We arrived at 5:30, launched by 6:00 with a water temp of 70 degrees with a slight breeze. We fished crankbaits and I caught two trout & she caught her first smallie of the year  I switched to a buzzbait and caught a smallie just off the shore, and after that not much for awhile. We kicked around a bit and she found a killer spot and told me to come over & give it a shot. She caught one more smallie that got off right at her boat, and then hooked into another that bent her pole in half, and then spit her lure[frown] I caught 7 decent sized smallies and 1 nice one in this spot using a crankbait and drop shotting(I didn’t have my scale or tape to measure ) We had a blast and can’t wait to go again!

Nice report and pics.

You are a lucky man to have a wife that likes to fish!!! :sunglasses:

:sunglasses:No kidding, man! Ain’t that the truth. My ex preferred to be on the couch watching Sleepless in Seattle for the 30th time, or something else on the T.V. The one I’m dating now says she wants to learn to fish and would even go on the hard deck with me… Hopefully she isn’t just saying that. Can’t wait to put her to the test soon…

Good Idea! Test the strength of the line before tying the knot. After that it’s a good idea to test the knot. [sly]

Go Max!
