Gorge Tutor needed

Hey just had a crazy opportunity open up for a one day whirlwind trip to the Gorge. I’d like to target Kokanee if that is still possible this late in the season. I have a down rigger, fish finder and GPS. I haven’t trolled for Koke since my Dad drove the boat so would anyone be willing to share an update on location, depths, speeds and lures. I got some RMT squid and a flasher but it was May colors so not sure they will still work this time of year. Oh my ride will be kicking me out in Manilla so locations close to there would be best. Time of day ideas would help also. Thanks J

Havent been up there for a couple months. Going up labor day weekend. Gonna try to target kokes too.

When I used to fish for kokes, orange kokanee candy always worked around August. I can’t remember how deep. Do you have a fish finder. Sorry I am no help. I still don’t have a down rigger and lately we have been going after the macs.

Thanks everyone for the great info that you have passed along. Got some better news looks like my Dad may come as well so I’m really looking forward to this trip been a long time since we’ve all fished together. Dads a Mac fan can you still find them in Lucern bay? Any locations or just follow the boats and watch the graph? Thanks again J

Hey thank you everyone for the tips. We had a great trip and caught a nice bunch of fish we ended up two shy of our koke limit since we were greedy for size that didn’t show up and we let too many go before we decided the fishing wasn’t as easy as it seemed at first. We also caught 4 Mac pups around 3 to 4 lbs and I got a nice 2 lb rainbow on my light gear that was a total blast. Also got a small mouth and my brother got 2 small mouths smaller than his mep zero. I didn’t think something that small could take a hook but he repeated the feat. Anyway just wanted to thank you all your help put us as one of the best catches of the day out of the launch and that’s pretty good to take someone who hasn’t fished there for 30 years and help us catch fish like the good fishermen that know the lake. Thank you so much we had a great day. It wouldn’t have happened without your help. J
