Wife and I fished the Buckboard area of the Gorge this last week-end for some kokes. The fishing is still hot, but you have to fish early before the wind picks up in the afternoon. We fished Kokanee Creek pink spoons, pink squids and orange splatter kokanee spinners, all behind dodgers. Depths that were most effective were 40-50 feet. we caught 25 - 30 kokes each day, biggest was 4.2 lbs., average was 2-3 lbs. Mornings were great, often glassy but the afternoons got pretty windy.

Excellent report, and very nice looking Kokes! They sure do look like they would put up a nice fight! I Need to get out their and take them off my bucketlist, even getting to Flaming gorge for the first time would be something special all in itself.

Yes it was very windy this weekend,but as windy as it was we still fished fri,sat,evening. We went from anvil to big bend both nights and as long as we went with the wind we didnt have Any problems i think it was because it was a steady wind with not to many gusts. The fishing was great for us and it looks like it was great for you also nice post!

Water temp was 60-61. I fished Sat morning and it was slow until about 12:30 then it was on. Caught our limit (6 fish) and headed out. It was pretty windy. I was fishing Anvil area.
The water temp at Buckboard was 62- 64. Some of the bass guys say the smallmouth are on there nests in the coves and shallow water. not sure how Arts comming along on the harnesses, but you know how to get him.
