Taking the family to Deer Creek over the the 4th to try and get some Walleye. Have a 14’ boat, going to troll but don’t know where to start and what to use. Will bottom bouncer and worm harness work?
yep that will work, try 12 to 8 feet of water on the flats. silver hammered blade with some green beads.
later chuck
You will need to go far East to avoid getting run over by the power squadron this weekend… [:/]
Thanks for the input ![]()
So there is no morons allowed on the east side?

Morons are allowed everywhere, but the far East end, where the Walleye live is too shallow to ski in…
only thing on that end to mess things up is wind surfers. had 2 cross my lines a saturday evening less than 50 ft from my motor.

So that brings up a good point…does a wnd surfer under sail have the right of way over your powered boat??[crazy]
High caliber automatic weapons, Xanax, Prozac and a big bail bucket will make the trip much better. And wear your life jackets!
Dont worry about fishing. Staying alive will be the priority.
I don’t know about the walleye but the small mouth fishing at DC was awesome last Saturday. I had 1 or 2 fish chasing the smallie I was reeling in almost every time I hooked one.
This will be my 1st trip to DC so i am no expert, but it can’t be worse than Willard or Pineview. Is it really that bad to where you can’t fish? I hope not, I am bringing my frydaddy camping
. Are you going to be there Bob?
I happily work every Saturday and Sunday. Fish on Monday Tuesday or Wed.
You will be painfully amazed at DC on a weekend. Let alone a holiday. Sorry man. Hope it isnt as bad as I think it will be.Dont forget the life jackets and bail bucket.
Thanks for the input, leave some walleye for me
!
Get on the water before anyone else, and get off when the power squadron wakes up. Then again in the evening.
Yeah, i was thinking 0530-0900 then about 1730-2030. Thanks for the post.
