Fished between 2-5pm. Tried shallows at Skull Island. No takers except for a couple of stripe. Threw rattle traps, fat raps, and pig-n-jigs.<br /> <br />Moved to some rip rap near Nuc Plant. Nothing.<br /> <br />Moved to a shallow flat near by. Nothing.<br /> <br />Had about an hour left, so we headed down river to a flat that tappered off to inches deep. The flat ran 8-10 foot deep. Partner got a good one on his second cast. (Silver Rattle Trap). 10 minutes latter I hung into a beast. Worked it towards the boat, and he turns. I'm excited beyond words and calling for a net. Stupidity instantly sets in when he turns hard and I didn't give him any drag. Of course he Breaks off. <br /><br />Partner comes unbuttoned on another before we have to leave.<br /> <br />
