I’ve heard of a lot of good baits for flathead, but am not sure which one to use. What flathead bait works best for yall?[fishin]

A flathead will eat just about anything as long as it stinks and lays still on the bottom 
Cut bait works well for this purpose. - shad, perch, etc…
Then, there are days when they won’t hit anything unless it’s alive and kicking…like a live blue gill or a bullhead or any other live fish that 's about 6-8 inches long.

Try live bluegill or live shad depending on fish regs in your area good luck
Here in So Cal, nothing seems to beat the lively Gold Fish.

Where legal, nothing beats a live bluegill, day in and day out.
My second choice would be shad gut, fished on a stubby-rod rig, in the rivers.
