I am hoping to hit FG this Friday to chase the lakers. Does anyone know what Sheep Creek or Lucerne marina look like? It’ll be my first real attempt at lake trout, any tips, time of day, or spots to try would be welcomed.  I’m launching a 19 foot aluminum boat if that makes a difference.

Jigging or trolling? Lucerne has a webcam that you can see the conditions. Sheep creek is usually icy this time of year but others may have a different opinion. What types of baits / lures do you have available?

Thanks for the webcam tip.  I have some 5 and 6 in tubes, white and glow. Several swim baits, 4 in to 7 in trout and white.  Some chartreuse paddle tail swimmers, 3/4 oz 4 1/2 in.  I also have some jigging spoons and was going to buy some chub or sucker meat to tip my presentations.

I have a Helix 9 and Livescope for finding fish.  I’m just ok at knowing how to use the finders.  I also have the Navionics app on my phone to find underwater structures, humps, ridges…
