hey guys..
heading to the Gorge this weekend (family reunion), and wondering if my Utah License is good for the entire lake or will I have to buy a Wyoming License?
one more thing: Never fished there before, and we won’t have access to a boat, which I know really limits me. But is there any areas that might be decent from the bank? We’ll be near the ‘Firehole Canyon’ area.

You need to buy a Wyoming stamp to fish the Wyoming side with a Utah license. You can catch rainbows and bass in almost any cove from shore.
Jazz is right, you will need a Wyoming stamp to fish accross the border. He is also right in that you can catch smallies and bows all over the lake! My Bro and I went up there last summer around this time, and just killed the smallies from shore casting a 3" watermelon tube with a 1/4oz jighead. You can see them swimming all over the place! We also caught some nice rainbows while fly fishing with brown BH Woolybuggers. Good luck, let us know how you do!

The stamp is $10 cash. The marina at buckboard would not take a debit card. Same goes with the day use fee.
Buy your reciprocal license in Manilla at any gas station that sells bait/licenses. It’s easier.
