Flaming Gorge?! (pics from last trip)

Really wanting to make a trip up to Flaming Gorge! We wont be taking the boat cause the trucks out of commision at the moment. Anyone been up there recently? Hows the fishing, weather, roads? I’m assuming it’s pretty nice up there for this time of year since were having some odd weather for Utah… Me and the hubby made a trip up there last December and it was AMAZING! It’s gorgeous up there in the winter, we seen tons of wildlife, and had the lake to ourselves! I’m dying to do it again.

Great pics! I agree, you have to love Flaming Gorge country.

It’s been really warm up here the last couple of weeks so the roads are clear, there’s hardly any snow, and the fishing is good. Today the highs were in the mid-40s. Looks like you were fishing around Mustang Ridge last year and you’ll find good fishing for rainbows in that area once again this year. Also try near the mouth of Sunny Cove (picnic area on the way down the Mustang Ridge road).

Thanks guys! So we weren’t able to make it up there as planned when I originally posted this (hubbys work schedule got switched around) So were heading up there tomorrow morning… as long as the weather/roads allow us. So again… anyone been up there recently? lol Weather forecast doesn’t look to bad but how are the road conditions?? What areas are good for shore fishing around Manila? Last minute advice? Thanks again you guys!
