Wiperslayer1 and I fished Flaming Gorge yesterday. Nothing too exciting to report. We fished around Anvil Draw and after searching and failing to find any large macks, moved into about 26’ of water and caught lots of mack pups.
Did you guys end up trying for any burbot?
We would have gladly reeled one in had one bit; however, because we started fishing after sunrise and left before sunset our odds of catching one were limited. I did manage to fish with six rods for awhile. I wanted to experience fishing with more than two rods. It didn’t make any difference in fish caught, because almost all of the fish were caught while actively jigging.
