Hello everyone-
I am wondering if anyone knows of any maps of our Utah lakes that are made specifically for fisherman.
I have those big blue and white maps that you can get at Sportsmans that show depth, but those are the only ones I know of.
Has anyone come across other maps for fishing? I’m curious to see fishing maps from other states as well if you know of any that exist.
Thanks!

Ive seen “Hot Spot” maps that show what fish can be caught in what areas of a lake but they really arent very accrute.

Those blue and white ones from fish-n-map co. Have some theory to their reverse topo. Go to their website.. and read about their structure fishing. The CEO of the company did some reading from a guy in the past named Buck Perry. Buck Perry is often credited with inventing structural fishing. Buck also invented “Spoonplugging” (I might be wrong on the name..) A depth controlled structural based method of trolling/casting, which in order to perform effectively, you needed to know the structure of the lake you were fishing. Apparently, Mr. Perry had figured out how to find fish migration routes and hot spots based on the underlying structure of the lake.
Buck Perry has a series of small books based just on this subject, they are rare.. and expensive ($120+ bucks ) when you do find them.
This is a very chopped up version of the story, most of which was probably unnecessary.. I am sure tubedude or others would have much more information to add to this… BUT.. who wants to discuss structural theory of lake bottoms and migration routes?? There is a reason that reading material on fishing is never on the NYT best-sellers list[crazy].
Anyway, my point is.. those maps are much more interesting to look at once you kind of read the theories of structural fishing.
