I am age 74. Live in Lawrence, Ks. I would like to rent a cabin (or shack), on a fishing pond, lake, or river —within short driving distance of Lawrence (30 miles?). Not a long term rental — maybe a night or two or three. Haven’t been fishing for 10+ years --use to enjoy it. Would like a get-away to fish. If no such lodging comes to mind, I would be happy to pay someone to fish in their private pond --it just needs to be a quiet get-away (just me the pond and some fish). Any help would be appreciated. —Jaes.
Welcome to the site Jaes, what time of the year did you want to rent this cabin? Were you thinking about ice fishing or bank fishing after the ice melts[:/]? Not sure if this helps you or not: Cabins & Lodges In Kansas | Places To Stay

First, thank you so much for the welcome and the response to my post. Regards answers to your questions: (1) I would be happy just fishing from the shore or dock. (2) Not as rugged as I use to be --so I would be a warm-weather fisherman (70 degrees or above). —Jaes.
Sorry I can’t be of much help but here is another link to some of the cabins in the State Parks of Kansas: State Park Reservations / State Parks / KDWP - KDWP
Good luck on your search.
