Fishin Fool, Riverpark, Bass, Cats, Crappie, 10-4-11, Nitro Mike

Mike and I decided to head down to the river with the lower temps and see if some fish might have moved shallow. We didn&#39;t have much luck with that idea, at least with bass, which were all fairly deep. We did catch several cats that loved hitting Gulp Alive minnows and jigs. We found crappie hanging out in brush down below the bend and caught a bunch of them, but not really any size. Mike landed a big spot, and we caught a few smallmouth, but no real size. Pattern was anything that worked really, but we had better luck in water that was 12&#43; feet deep. I am sure the bright sun and blue skies with a north wind had a lot to do with that. Temps were about 72 where we were, which was all the way from the dam down to below the bend. Ended the day with 4 smallies, 14 spots, 7 cats, 11 crappie, and numerous bream and goggle eye. Flow was about 12000 up to about 26000 when we left at 4. Used slow rolled spinners, spoons, jigs and Gulp alive. <br />
