We made our first ice fishing trip to the Uintas today. We were dying for the ice to come on so we headed up to the uintas today. We started out at Pass lake and only caught 8 in about an hour so we decided to move, best decision Ive made in a long time. In the next three hours we caught 120 fish!!! I havent caught fish this fast for about 3-4 years. Those were the good old days catching yellow perch at fish lake. There were 4 people in my group and we had a hard time keeping our poles in the water. We had so many doubles and triples we lost count. I will add pics later.[;)]
nice report how thick was the ice?
Ice was 7" thick, but it was warm today! The lakes we drove past at that elevation were safe, just watch for open water.
