Finally, the Jordanelle of old!

The fish gods must have heard my complaints all summer long about under-sized smallies, too many of 'em, and the disappearance of the customary “footers.” Today, at least, it was the Jordanelle of old. Over 2-doz boated, and only one under 10" in the bunch. Biggest a 17"er, two even bigger that broke us off, and avg catch in the fat 12-14" range. Even drop-shotted some 11" perch at noon before the dark clouds chased us off. Fished from 9-12:30. My faith has been restored.

Now that is a nice sized perch. Good to see that Jordanelle still has some decent fish in there.:sunglasses: Thanks for the report!

Good going “P-man”!!! I was up there last week and caught about a dozen but nothing of size to speak of… the usual 2010 10" to 12" ers. What a year at the “J”. Where were you and what were you using? I am sure they were deep? I can see you drop shotting crawlers or were you tipping your crank baits with perch meat? Need the scoop or need you to take me. Looks like I am free on Thursday… your boat or mine?

PS, Heard through the grapevine that your wife out fished ya? Good going Linda and happy anniversary guys!!!

Yours truly F.S.

Nice fish Mike. One of these days I’m going to have to get over there and try that fishery.

Here’s where I got 'em:

I am going to try and head up there or to Deer Creek in the next couple of days. I am new to it and caught a few bass at Deer Creek in Wahlsburg Bay.

Can you advise me of some good spots. I dont have a boat so could you tell me any good shoreline spots?

Thanks!!

Anyone with any good shoreline bass spots at Jordanelle of Deer Creek?
