I agree, I am just saying the reel is only one source and can be positioned to not reflect.
Heck Ted, I have read people complaining the little 2mm ring on furled leaders reflecting and scaring fish.
I guess anything is possible.
And like I said, my Orvis reels although, Black, Bronze Titanium, even my Vosseler Green and My Tibor, they all have shiny spots that can reflect light.
About the only one I have that doesn’t is the Lamson Lite Speed.
Oh and don’t forget, that water can reflect light…the water on your line.
OMG just more things to clog my mind while I attempt to catch that mammoth 8" wild trout. lol
i would say its not pink its salmon!
What a coool vest!
i would say its not pink its salmon!
Im going with salmon then lol
Plug in fishing vest in google images there are many styles and colors form pink to blaze orange ![]()
there are two different models of their vests.. this green one that looks light weight.. and other a grey that looks to be for colder weather (neoprene collar so Im just guessing)…
is it me or does it seem they have built in fly boxes on the front.. ![]()

Allot of co. are putting the foam fly boxes IN the vests. Orvis even had one.
I could never understand the WINTER vest thing. You either wear a coat out side or underneath it. No that to me was a scam to sell more.
I would still recommend MESH, as it is great for summer and like I said…you dress warm in the winter and the vest is secondary.
makes sense to me… :-).. but how functional are vest like that.. arent they a bit bulky??? I like the idea of the fold down fly boxes.. but not sure how comfy it would be to use on the water…
maybe we can get Peter to get one and test it out for us.. [angelic]

No way man. I went to my local fly shop yesterday and
try on the fishpond Wasatch vest/backpack and Im in
love with it.
Its like $188.00 plus tax so I may have to wait to go
back to work to get one.
But there is one on Ebat for $169.00 +no tax and free
shipping…
They are cool, but I tend to total the foam in fly boxes, or I take one or two. This is the whole drug store all the time…I don’t know.
*Picked up this wading waist jacket before I left on my trip. It kept me quite comfortable in 30º temperature. It has big pockets for fly boxes, rings on the front and back for clipping on a net. Didn’t bother putting on my vest as I could carry all my goodies that I needed. Oh yeah got it at a 20% savings.

It is a Redington that I picked up at my local fly shop for $99.00. I don’t buy cheap just good deals.
Yeah, same here. No cheap just good deals.
I got my fishpond rod/reel case ($189.99) for
$127.00 no tax and free shipping.
Im not cheapo I just like to get good stuff at good price ![]()
Sounds like you like it that way too.
Peter
Amen to that Bro. I learned a long time ago that the word CHEAP means of little worth. As Joni mentioned a line is one of the most important fly tools to get your fly onto the water in a correct fashion. An inexpensive setup can only be enhanced with a good quality line. Spare the line and spoil the ability of the rod to get the job done. lol
You live in SoCal just like me. Where is your local
flyshop If I may ask ?
Peter
Bob Marriotts in Fullerton.
If they don’t have it, you don’t need it.
