thank you all! i mean that too. have fished for about everything here in wv but 1st time after stripers. bought some deadly dick diamond lures and others for a trip to chincoteague va and will try them in bluestone lake for stripers along with a few i will try from your recomendations. thank you all.[fishin]
Good luck and we’ll llok forward to seeing your report/pics! You are gonna have a blast, stripers are some serious fun to fish!!
I fish for stripers in Lake Mead and have a few favorites. LC Sammy or spook for topwater boil action. Spinnow or Kastmaster for deepwater jigging. And LC pointer DD for trolling.
When I do get a chance to hit the Chesapeake for striper, I like to use a 6" sassy shad swim bait in silk chartreuse with a jig, or use an umbrella rig for trolling if I’m feeling lazy. White and silk colors is all I can get to work.
Nice cooler full of fish. I notice in the fillets were you don’t cut the bright red strip of meat out. I like to cut that out of the striper fillets. It changes the taste and my family like it better.
Good luck fishing
I always enjoy fishing early, typically a popper or jitterbug are always reliable.
