Those Xcalibur baits are pretty nice too. I like the one knock version as it’s something a little different.

Senkos are always a good stand by when things are tough. Not as much fun as hammering them on a crank, but sometimes they’re about all that works.

I have 4 large tackle boxes full of lures , two boats , a 17.5 foot jet . 18 foot inboard, outboard . I am always willing to try new stuff . It seems like no matter how much tackle you have , they are biting on something you have never seen before .

Yeah, I actually have 16 large bags of tackle but I try to keep it separated by species. Now for Kokes I carry over 500 lures and some 200 dodgers and other attractors. Ocean Salmon and Rockfish take up another 2 bags. Trout 2 bags. Steelies one bag. Sturgeon another bag. Well you get the idea.

I’m Don and I have STD’s. (Salmonid Tackle Disease)

Wow. and I thought fly fishers were bad! :astonished: LOL  [;)]

The amount of fly fishing and tying gear I have is embarrassing.

I do remember when it was a pair of old sneakers, cut offs, and a multipurpose fenwick with a pflueger 1495 ½, reel.

I still have and occasionally use my Pflueger 1495 Medalist. Well made reel, and one of the best back in the company’s better days.

I hear you on the tying materials and flys. At least each fly doesn’t cost $5 to $20! I don’t know how you guys handle losing a lure. I would be tempted to swim after it! :astonished:

As a kid I think I had about three lures that I used regularly. A red and white daredevil, a Mepps, and a Colorado spinner. Many Many fish were caught with those… then “fly disease” got me. I think it’s terminal.

I grew up on the Henry’s Fork of the Snake in Pinehaven. Back then, the Mepps in red and silver or red and gold and the red and yellow Panther Martin were king! At 7 years old I started fly fishing and never looked back to tossing spinners. Then playing with trolling gear, both lures made a come back with the panther martins behind an attractor doing the best. Still, I look back on my fly guiding days on the Railroad Ranch as a 10 year old kid as some of the best.

Thanks I will give them a try .
