What is yours? Over the years I’ve changed up trying different flavors. For a lot of those years, I would brew a 12-cup pot daily when at home and had no problem finding a coffee pot at work. I use a mug size cup that makes my 12-cup pot seem like only 4 cups when filling up. I’m really not fond of the different flavors, lattes, or exotic types. I’ve stuck with brands mainly from Folgers and Maxwell House. After retiring I’ve had to scale back on intake of coffee to 1-2 smaller mugs. Now, for last 2-3yrs I’ve changed coffee brand to Blackout Coffee-Morning Reaper Blend. When out fishing I have a thermos full of coffee. Using a insulated mug pouring some fresh puts that aroma in the boat, camp coffee aroma.

I’m a fan of Community Coffee. I use K-cups because I drink only one cup a day. My current favorite is House Blend, which is a medium dark. They have MANY roasts and grinds to choose from. I get an auto shipment every month. Try them.
I’ve tried and tried to acquire a taste for coffee but just can’t do it. My wife has a pot going every morning, but I don’t even like the smell of it. Did you all like the taste of it the first time you tried it.
Can’t remember what I use to drink, brand wise, but over 20 years ago now, we made our first trip to Hawaii. While we were there, we went to a plantation, where they grew coffee beans and had our first taste of chocolate manadamian nut coffee and we were hooked. We have been drinking it ever since. We buy ours from Winco, in bulk,
That’s an example of what I call candy coffee. Not for me. Ditto the stuff Starbucks makes, which is more hot milk than coffee, and their coffee tastes like burnt rubber.

Plain old Folgers Classic Roast now . At work before retiring it was usually Folgers or Yuban , depends on who went to buy it. If I went it was Yuban ,if one guy in particular went it was Folgers, but it seemed always the two brands . I like both, doesn’t matter . At home now it’s always just Folgers .
My parents always bought Folgers. I tried it again recently with some we got as a gift. It was horrible compared to Community Coffee. Bitter, acid, and raw tasting. Threw it out after one cup. There are YouTube videos claiming Folgers isn’t even all coffee. I tend to believe that. Buy one bag of CC’s Cafe Blend and you’ll see.
My taste buds are not as acute . 
I have heard many claims from coffee connoisseurs , they grind the beans , store it properly etc etc . I’ve drank coffee from many sources , even that yummy stuff from the vending machine from years past ,it’s all coffee. I’m drinking a cup of Folgers as I type here ,it’s just fine . 
I’m not a super taster, either. But there is a marked difference between Folgers and Community Coffee.
I’ve had some terrible tasting coffee, enough to dump on the ground yet some was the caffeine fix I needed.
Late in the am towards noon I like switching over to iced tea which I will drink well into the evening. I like a little sweetener in it but not a fan of tea that is overly sweet like a syrupy taste. Don’t like the sweet tea brand. I started purchasing Pure Leaf tea that comes in ready-made small bottles. hey have their version of one sweet tea flavor which is too sweet for me. There is a subtly sweet, unsweetened, and flavor teas like lemon, blackberry, & raspberry which I do like. I have been an iced tea all my life.
Curious, how many tablespoons of ground coffee, do you guys use for making a 12 cup pot of coffee? Myself, I only use 5 rounded tablespoones. I’ve read that some use as many as 12 tablespoons, I’m assuming those are level.
I have a standard coffee measure scoop which equates to a tablespoon. Usually my scooping is heapers, 2 scoops to a 5½ cup pot.
I like a dark roast. Minimum one heaping tablespoon per cup. When camping I’ll sometimes use a French press. I use a premium coffee like a Colombian or arabica. Any good brand depending on price staying away from the extra fancy brands. I also use a stainless reusable K cup. Smooth strong and not bitter. I drink mine black no additional anything. Unless I pour in some homemade Baileys. Normally one cup is good enough. Lastly I grind my own beans.
