Awesome to see you getting the young crew out to fish. Gals and guys. So good of you to do that! I hope they get a few fish with those rods and reels, they served me well over the years and makes me happy to see you putting them to good use! Little brother may have been one of the boats you saw. He took a couple boys out to catch a few. Said they targeted trout mostly and they got a bunch. They were mostly using tube jigs or small swim baits.

Hit Echo last week with the fishing club - right before the storms came in. Nice day. Brisk in the morning but not bad. A bit of skim ice starting to show in the shallows near the inlet. Maybe we will get a shot at ice?
Anyway I had a few new young ladies join the club and they came to on this trip. Not the best trip to start them off with as the shore fishing was mostly a bust. We picked up a few rainbows on powerbait but could not get a bite on plastic or metal gear. No perch. Did see a few boaters having better luck on both species. Looked like drops shot style of rig on the perch and cowbells on the bows but that was from a distance.
Did get to give away one of Pat’s (not Tubedude) they other Pat - fishing pole to a student. It was a nice vintage spinning rod - I had a couple other items with me to give away but did not work out that way. Anyway, Sir Isaac Newton was very happy to have a new spin rod to fish with and and wanted me to pass on his thanks to Pat Milburn. You might know him from previous videos.
I did not film a video but I did film a quick 15 second youtube-short of the girls introducing them (link below). This make three now and two more that are signed up but just could not make the schedule work yet.
