We’re going on Saturday from the shore at either Rockport or East Canyon. Which is better, and what should we use?

Haven’t fished EC this year so cant advise about it but Rockport was been so so Its been hot & cold. caught our limit a few weekeds ago but wa sup there weekend befor elast caught 1 fish between the 3 of us. On the days it was hot a worm a chartreuse\green garlic marshmallow or chartreuse power bait worked well.
east canyon has been on fire all year for planter fish, we trolled for them multiple times this year and caught them on the surface down to 30’ with anything in the tackle box that is shiny.
