Took the student angler club to East Canyon yesterday (evening). Fished from the shore at the Taylor Canyon area and over by the marina
Was slow but we did manage to get a couple nice bows with spinners and one really nice brown (that was unexpected) also with a spinner. No takes on bait oddly. TAlso one very small bass on a senko. Talked to a few that were trolling and they were doing pretty good on bows. I used my deeper chirp castable sonar to see if I could see any sign of crappie schools but nothing. One day I will find them at EC but it has been the hardest place for me to locate a fishable group.
Gave out a donated pole from Pat M to a student for the most bows.
a couple youtube shorts of my students getting fish - links below
( I also fished RP and Echo the day before, was very specifically looking to see if any perch were in castable range for my students so spent most of my time with my castable sonar looking - but not finding- no suprise - real early for them to move in, but lots of people catching trout on both )
