Candi and I made a trip down to the Riverpark to see if the big bluegills were still down there and active. We hit a pretty good feeding period. We started a little after 12 noon and Candi had to show off and catch the biggest bluegill in 5 trips down there for me. Her very first fish was 9.25" long. The pic doesn't do the fish justice. I should have made a close up pic of this fish. We ended up with 19 fish between 8 and 9.25" long. We caught at least 3 throwbacks to every keeper today as well. I'm guessing around 60 or more fish today.

We also caught 3 or 4 white bass and fed the blue herons some smaller fish. Wax worms fished on a drop shot rig was the technique. We were in 18 feet of water most of the time and the water temp was 46.8 degrees. I may make my first crappie trip of the new year tomorrow. We'll see. emoBigsmile emoGeezer
