<br /> Decided to hit the lake early this morning and sneak out in front of some of the weekend tournaments. Focused on four spots on Nickajack/River. Caught a total of 20 fish, with the best 5 around 15 pounds. Caught 10 or so on lipless Rapala and Strike King crankbaits in Red and Gold before switching to and catching another 5 on the new KVD bait in 2.5 version. Caught the last few on a laserlure shallow crankbait I bought on sale at Wally World. Bite seemed to come in bunches, but never could get a really good fish. All fish caught in 3-8 feet of water.<br /> Put in before 7 and was back home around noon, with main focus on running the boat a little. Looks like its time for new trolling motor batteries…
