I guess that not many folks want to share their Strawberry secrets.
Try looking for water that is over 50’ deep.
The Soldier Creek side is a good place to start.
Use the finder to locate fish and their depth.
Kokanee will most likely be in water that is over 25’ to 30’ deep this time of the year.
I use 4" or 5" dodgers with squids for the Kokanee.
Boat speed is very important.
Slow is the secret. 1.4 to 1.8 mph works for me.
I have improved by bite rate by adding Pro Cure scent to the squids. [Corn or Herring flavor]
Best of luck and let us know how you do.

Not currently. SC Sucks this year for kokes.

True, but not required.

True last month, they are 30 to 45’ now. IMO temperature is highly underrated. Kokes like 55 degree water. Drop a temp gage and find out where that temperature is.

Deeper than 30ft I switch to longer dodgers for more light reflection and sound.

Mostly true. I always run at least 1 our of 4 poles without scent for testing… last week the 2nd hottest pole we had had no scent on it.
Best of luck and let us know how you do.
Ditto!

Try this link to the Kokanee University… chock full of information. Seams like koke fishing is more of a science than anything.
You can also come over to one of our Sister sites. Its nothing but Kokanne fishing and you will be able to read up on posts for hours and get a tone of info. Try This

rileyfish link is broken try this one
Kokanee fishing forum is probably your best bet for excellent koke fishing info. However i think the lack of response is due to the small amount of people that consistently fish and catch kokes at strawberry, and the other few not repsponding are probably keeping secrets.(can’t blame em)
KDstroutfitter pretty much summed it up.
That is basically What has caught the few kokes out of there that i have stumbled into. In fact you use those tactics on any koke lake in the USA and you will catch kokanee. The squid and dodger is almost comparible to the rapala.
