I was wondering if either of those 2 bodies of water were still ice covered.
East canyon may still have ice but it may not be safe…
Fished EC fri and sat. Ice has turned to slush..i’m betting it will be all but ice free within the next week.
I was sort of hoping for open spots of water that might be accessible from shore or with a pontoon. Do you guys recall any open spots. I’m sort of hoping it would be open by the inlet and near there along the shore or by the dam at Lost Creek.
east is gettin small open spots we’ve had about 30 hrs of wind i’ll have to run up and see whats changed !
No problem finding somewhere to fish from the shore..
the ice is broke up on east canyon
Just wondering if the wheather we have been having lately has changed conditions on east canyon?
I was up at EC yesterday for a few hours. ice is 90% gone and bank fishing early in the morning was good. Last Saturday was every cast you got a bite. Yesterday if was a bit slower…
Only ice by the dam and some in the bays but that is limited and wont last long.
I saw no boats out but i am sure they will be on there soon.

you can get out easy the chunk of ice blocking the main chanel is gone now 
its snowig today but not much wind

your good to go on east canyon there is still some ice in the bays but its going fast. lost creek has no open water yet i was there friday 2or 3 inches of slush on edges and a rock still bounced 20 feet out
