Sorry for the late post. Hit Deer creek on Wednesday with the kayak. Had a pretty good day. Had my spot all to myself. Ended up with about twenty bass and one walleye. All the bass were pretty small but did manage one decent one. The walleye was 23 inches my best for deer creek.

I’ve always liked that spot also. I pulled three walleye out of there last weekend but couldn’t buy a bite from the bass.

the wierd thing for me about deer creek is ive only got walleye over 20 inches on the hard deck, any other time theyve been under 14 inches.
I’ve never caught walleye through the ice. Good on ya for doing that! Don’t think I will ever be doing much ice fishing again 
since we’re moving but more power to ya.

dang that suck i love the ice fishing if its good, are you moving to the desert or something, if so catch alot of big bass for all of us.

Nope, just the lower midwest…they get ice storms occasionally but it doesn’t stay under freezing enough to ice over much. But I plan on coming home occasionally to ice fish, especially if my kid stays here for college. [:)]
