I can confirm the SC side of Strawberry has slush - 12 to 16 inches of water on top of the ice with 12 to 16 inches of snow on top of the water. Very difficult!
I’m certainly worried about this. I’m not ready to be done with the ice yet, (mostly because I don’t have a boat or fly rod. Hah) and I’m hoping it cools off a bit and gives me a few more weekends to ice some fish.
Maybe I’ll make a quick trip out to dc tonight and see what the ice is like.
Well, I suppose the chance at actually getting out and fishing might be better than trying to wade through the above mentioned slush. Looks like I’ll be trying Deer Creek this weekend, (if I can get the Wife’s permission to go.) I’ll let ya’ll know how it goes. Thanks for the help!
