Deer Creek bows

Took a Saturday morning run up Provo Canyon and took some of my progeny with me. Was a little chilly at 8 am when we arrived with air temps in the low 40’s but the day progressed to a beautiful sunny high 60’s by 1pm when we left. This was one of those rare days on DC where the wind didnt pick up at noon and blow us off the lake, it was calm and glassy almost the entire trip. Ended up with 15 feisty bows on the deck and lost 5-6 boatside. My son’s girlfriend caught a toad that was 18" and likely over 2 lbs. She had a blast reeling that thing in. Those bows are a lot of fun since they fight hard and leave the water quite a bit during the fight. We were pulling dodgers, hoochies and spinners with pink maggots for extra flavor. Son was casting a gold Kastmaster and had many fish follow it all the way to the boat before turning away, even caught a couple on it.

Excellent

Looks like a fabulous day out. Thanks for the report
