Decent day at Strawberry..

On the water about 8:00 off at 3:30 ended up with 30 between two of us with many more missed, most action was from 8:00-1:00 pretty slow from 1:00-3:30. Fished Strawberry Bay with white curly tail grubs on 1/4 oz. jig heads tipped with worm or shrimp, also when the wind was calm floated a worm or shrimp about 2 ft. under a bobber and nailed em, lots of fish near the surface.

I got 19 Cutts and 1 Bow, partner had a 5 Cutts and 5 Bows’ all most were slot, Bows’ were smaller. Anyways hope it helps and I hope I am done on the lakes for awhile now that the rivers have finally come down, out with the flyrod.

Was a beautiful day on the water today wasn’t it! Couldnt asked for a better day for fishing, nice job.

Last two weeks the weather up there has been incredible, throw in some decent fishing and it’s perfect!

way to add to your “stats” good job!

I’m heading up tomorrow and staying through Sunday afternoon. Hope me and the boy get into them like you did. I was going to go to the soldier creek side but maybe I need to hit Strawberry Bay!

Did you do any trolling?

I hope I am done on the lakes for awhile now that the rivers have finally come down, out with the flyrod.

Here here! Isn’t this a nuttier than squirrel turds year? Here it is, mid-August, and rivers are just finally coming down.
glad you got a chance to get some stink on your hands [;)]

No trolling, just drift trolling jigs when the wind picked up, I did “troll” a hook with a worm and caught quite a few, fish are near the surface and Strawberry Bay is loaded right now, I would think you and your boy will do well, good luck.

Yeah gotta keep my “stats” up [crazy], this week should be good, fishing a river on some family land that does not get fished, wife caught a 9 # and 7 # Brown out of it years ago so hopefully there are still some there.

same for us, except our section gets fished a ton by me, the bro in law doesent fish there. we need to chit chat about chasing the browns there this fall.

Which just make me proud as punch to be a Utah citizen. With land of the rich and the water and air too.

Went up to Strawberry Bay Saturday evening and I have never seen the water that calm. We fished in 30 ft of water about 200 yards off the west shore. The fish were still surfacing, attached is a photo of my son with a bow thanks to your post!

Awesome!!! glad it helped, looks like a great time.
