My last trip to DC, I parked at the dock to go get the truck, had left my electronics on. I could see a large school of fish right under the boat. I couldn’t help it, I put a piece of worm on a jig and dropped it in. I had a fish right off. It was a decent sized blue gill. I fished a few minutes more and had another bite that didn’t hook up. I didn’t fish much longer but seemed there were quite a few right there under the dock.
There were probably four fishing boats and a good dozen at least ski boats.
Under my boat at the dock was exactly as Brookie described.
Every drop was a small subtle bite, and with a #4 hook just couldn’t hook them.
If I had been on my own you could not have dragged me away from there until I solved the mystery of what was under me, but, it was not to be with wife and two little grandsons starting to get chilled from night coming on.
BG’s have actually been in DC many many years, and while BB’ing for Eyes actually catch some decent ones.
Yes, I’m aware there have been BG in DC for many years, it’s just that not many people target them or report they have caught them, so it was nice that you told up about catching them. Are the docks still in at DC, I thought the only dock left was that wedge dock?
