Current Cascade report?

Considering heading out for the evening and morning. Considering LVR, Anderson, and Cascade. Anyone have a current Cascade report? Also, will likely be heading out alone if anyone is interested in a impromptu trip…

Bug, I talked to Tom at Tackle Toms last weekend and he expects the perch fishing to be slow until the weather cools down in September. I passed on fishing it because I don’t have a boat right now and most of the trout are being caught trolling. All I keep hearing about are the mountain lakes. If you have a hike in you, that may be an option. There are a ton of them up there. I’m not going to make it up there this weekend because of the old high school reunion. Let us know how you did.

There are several more hikes in me, but since I was charged by a wolf about 2.5 years ago I don’t do that type of stuff alone any more.

I know the feeling. I had one run under my tree stand two years ago up in Bear Valley. He was heading to a kill the pack had made down at the creek (which was of course between me & my truck). I walked out of there in the dark carrying only my bow and it was spooky. I can’t imagine what it must have been like to get charged.

Fished Cascade for about 4 hours this morning. Not much going on. Started on the west side near the church camp and only caught a few. Moved over by the dam and never had a hit. I wonder where the larger perch have gone. I tried shallow and I tried deep. They must be pocketed up somewhere.

Been fishing Cascade for the last 2.5 days with a friend…total count from what I can recall was around 10 to 13 trout ranging from 12 inches to 18. 1 Kokanee, 3 smallies including a nice 16 incher and around 10 perch or so.

The trolling was slow and the fish we did pick up were anywhere from 15-25 feet down. The perch are in bunches and can be marked on your finder, but are hunkered down about 30 feet and very picky.
