Daughter and I want to head to Currant Creek first thing tomorrow. Anyone know how the ice is? I hear it’s iced over but I don’t want to go all the way up there if it’s still unsafe. We’ll hit the Berry or Starvation instead.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

It’s pretty deep and not that much higher in elevation than Strawberry. I would be surprised if it was totally capped right now.
Good luck if you go and be sure to tell us if it’s actually frozen; thickness, etc.
I want to hit it as well. If you go, will you please post conditions? I called a friend that works up there in the area sometimes, but he hadn’t been up in a while and didn’t have a report. Sorry, I am no help.
I checked conditions at some of the other spots that are of comparable elevation and apparently there’s skiffs of ice here and there but not anywhere near iced over. Also checked temps, and while it’s been in the teens and 20s at night it’s been above freezing during the day. Rats. It doesn’t sound like Currant Creek is gonna fly this time
