Vacation Sunday, best way to spend it, on the lake! Running all over to find fish, an I mean bragging style fish…That means packing a lunch, wrapping up warm, and huntin' till you find some worth 'making a report about!' I haven't actually found fish moved back on docks yet, I actually haven't found fish stacked on blow downs yet, and I actually haven't found fish deep on the bluffs…What I did find was back to back TARPS hanging around n the same area, 16FOW one reel turn off the bottom, right out on a drop in front of a dock I never fished. <br /> "What had happened was" I was attempting to sneak up on them by stopping the motor right outside this dock, an I was still looking at the bird, all the sudden I saw this drop and it was loaded with fish, you know one of those moments when you heart starts racing fast, cause you know you are gonna catch you some fish!!! So I just let "Freedom" (name of my G-3) glide over that spot, quickly turn the nose around with the trolling motor and just dropped the line straight down till it hit bottom and made a one reel turn and BAMMMM…what I hit, I knew it was a good fish, I could tell by how the rod bent, got it in the boat for a quick measurement and dropped again and SLAMMMM, another good hit, even better than the first one…another quick measurement, in the live well for that perfect photo session later down the lake…I thought I better retie in case the next one was that 3lber, dropped again n the same spot and NUTTIN', NUTTIN AGAIN, OR AGAIN…the only thing I can make of that is those little crappie might be smarter than we think, maybe they where thinkin, "ol grandpaw went to sunday church an never came back, I ain't goin to church" I could still see them on the bird, but I couldn't get another bite…Oh well, I moved on, but I will be back, I sure hope they bite on other days besides sunday, cause my Vacation doesn't last forever…<br />Water temp was about 64…and my new secret color is BG new color Full Moon…I was using a 1/32 jig head with a red sickle hook! What a perfect Vacation Day! Life is Good emoBigsmile
