Mother Nature is certainly an artist with out peers.
… that is a beautiful fish.. but the ones that impress me most are the ones whose color is a perfect camoflauge for their surroundings.. [:)]

I have seen a couple of those in the Castaic Lagoon. That one happens to be a female of the species.
I caught a couple dozen of those today in the south east side of the mittin. I didnt keep any, just wanted crappie today…
and you would be proud of me, I was using a fly, a live one tho, it was a miller fly…
my house has been invaded with them so I invited the nest hole to go fishing with me… LOL
