TRINIDAD, CO. - Trinidad Lake State Park has opened the boat ramp to vessels. To prevent the spread of aquatic nuisance species (ANS), including zebra and quagga mussels, all vessels must be inspected prior to launch.

The inspection hours for the month of April will be Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. 7 p.m.; Fridays between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays, 6 a.m. through 8 p.m. The inspection hours from May through mid-September will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
All live bait must have a receipt, from a Colorado bait dealer, dated within seven days of use. Failure to comply with all boating regulations could result in a fine.
Vessels planning to launch outside of posted inspection times will require a pre-inspection seal attached prior to launch. Pre-inspection seals are to be removed by boaters upon launching, and placed in the pre-inspection drop box, located at the boat ramp. Boaters should also fill out the pre-inspection log sheet on the top of the drop box.
