Made my first ever kayak fishing trip late yesterday afternoon. I think I'm going to like kayak fishing very much. My Ocean Kayak Drifter model seemed to do very well although I don't have anything to compare it to emoScratch . I stayed in Wolftever and fished the last 1 1/2 hours before dark. I caught 15 crappie on 1/32 oz. PA with a dyed tail. Most of the fish were small 6" to 8" with a few smaller ones thrown in and I did manage 2 keeper 11" crappie out of the bunch. It was fun trying out the kayak and of course catching some fish. The wind was very calm so I had perfect conditions. I threw my pet finesse worm some but couldn't manage a bass. The perspective of the water from a kayak is very different from a bass boat and at least yesterday afternoon seemed to be a very peaceful way to fish emoCool .
