Hello:
I am trying to choose a rod to use with my new Penn Squall 40 ld for flounder and other saltwater fish. I am undecided between a Shakespeare Tiger Ugly Stik 2 piece 7 foot casting rod and Cabellas 7 foot 3 piece Salt Striker casting rod. Any pros cons or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Ugly stick for sure, but why not get a one piece?
Thanks for the advice; I want a 2 or 3 piece for travel purposes, etc. So you feel the Ugly Stik is a better made rod and therefore a better choice? I am a little curious why the Salt Striker is significantly more expensive if it’s not as good. Again thanks for any insight you can offer.
Ugly stick gives you more bang for the buck. Never break.
