We came; we saw; we conquered. Between 7 of us we iced 10 or more perch that broke the 14 inch barrier. Here is some porn from my tally.
More coming tomorrow. PACKFAN & his bride showed up today. Met TrueBlue2 on the ice today. Life is good folks; life is REALLY good. The fish Gods smiled mightily on us today for sure.
Man they will make walleye size fillets, so I want to know if you finally get a fillet big enough to be worth eating, which is better, perch or walleye??? Not that that comment was meant to set off a firestorm that smaller perch aren’t worth eating, because I agree they are tasty… and I know the perch following will be after my head but I’m just thinking fish that size would really be nice table fare… Very good job!!! So are all of you fishing together? Did you use some of the local talent to help you find the right locations, or has everyone’s past years of experience helped you guys get some good locations to fish? Seemed like past years it took a couple days to find the fish, so it’s great to see you got onto them early in your trip… Have fun today… Later J
WOW! those are some of the biggest perch I have ever seen. They look like little footballs. One day I hope to get up there. Keep up the good work and keep the pics coming.
Good job Bob—makes my ‘slab’ 9 - 91/2" crappies from Pineview look a little smallish, but we’re having fun here…hope your ‘new’ snowmobile is working good for you…good luck the rest of the trip…see ya soon…
