After reading all the Utah Like postings I got fired up, and set aside the entire day 9/12 to fish it. The adivice I am looking for is this? Best place to fish given the following: I have 14 ft boat and do not want to stray too far from shore given nasty way lake treats small craft when wind comes in. I will be coming from north, but willing to drive to any location.

There are several good places around Utah Lake you can launch your boat and not have far to go into the lake to fish. First from the North, there is the American Fork Boat Harbor. It is South of American Fork. There is a fee to launch, it is four dollars for seniors. I don’t know the regular fee. Next is the Lindon Boat harbor, it is on the North West corner of the old Geneva Steel Mill. There is a five dollar launch fee. This is a very popular place with many good close fishing spots. Next is the Provo Boat Harbor, It is West on the Center Street exit. This is a State Park, lots of launch ramps. Tanner and I did good there last week right in the mouth of the Provo River. We caught lots of White Bass, and a seven pound Channel Cat. Next is Linlcoln Beach, West of Spanish Fork and on the North end of West Mountain. I think this is one of Tube Dudes favorite places to fish on Utah Lake. There is a good launch ramp and harbor, close to good fishing in most all directions. There is no fee to launch there.
