The other day I was doing some scouting for the up coming deer hunts and saw a pretty good size beaver pond. I decided to hike in and check it out.

I thought it would hold some little Brookies. I was not disappointed.

I had skipped breakfast and it was approaching lunch so i decided to cook up one of the bigger ones.

Very nice. But what - you mean you don’t have pepper in your tackle box? Some wild sage or mint can be a nice touch in a pinch. Just stay away from the thistle. No really - stay away from it, it’s pokey and itchy!
