Boring - Another Chocolate Weeb. 10/02

Had a personal thing happen today so I decided to take a stress relief trip to the Weeb. Just got back from the Weeb. and caught dinner and gave The Sparkinator" some exercise in just 2 hrs. All fish were 14=15 in. Ended up playing fetch in the water, letting him catch released trout, and throwing sticks on the shore for 1/3 the time. Caught a total or 8. Don’t really understand why the success but caught 8 rainbows 14- 16 in less than 2 hrs. and played fetch with The Sparkinator the rest of the time. All caught om a prince with split shot bouncing on the bottom. This was a hole right at the bridge to private property and should have been fished heavily. One was spewing eggs big time.

Glad you got into some nice fish.. I noticed they USGS site said they dropped the flow down a little more. Was it a much of a difference from the last time you were there?

Not much, still high and chocolate.

A rainbow was spewing eggs?

Am I wrong or a cut.? Here’s a pic. The one that had eggs didn’t have any red on the gills.

That’s cool man! I know it happens from time to time, but I’ve never seen a fall run bow myself. Right on!

looks like a bow to me. the bows will start to form eggs in the fall

This is more like the one with eggs. [;)] Sshe was full and spewing out all over the place while I was trying to get the fly out. Didn’t have my net with me so I had to lift her up a bit.

You know, I got to thinking about the eggs I observed. They weren’t normal. They were yellow but kind of like a 1/2 deflated zeppelin. [:/] When they hit the ground and I tried to pick em up, it was like they had no substance or anything inside and went flat??? Does that mean anything to anyone of you more knowledgeable folks?

sure does, seems to me like they were just starting to form in their incubation stage. a few months down the road they would be plump and ready to be nessted

Ok, why were they spewing all over with minimal handling? [:/]

fish likely had zero energy left to hold them in after the fight.

Huuuuuum, interesting. Never had that happen in all these many years, and I mean many.

Almost sure they were eggs she didn’t get to spawn & was resorbing into her system.
